Welcome to Kangaroo Kourt Preschool and Child Care. We are a New Jersey State licensed facility located on North Green Street (Rte 539), in Tuckerton Borough, New Jersey. The 2011-2012 school year will be the centers 22nd year of operation. We are proud to provide the Tuckerton, Little Egg Harbor, Eagleswood, and New Gretna families with quality preschool and child care. The facility is open all year, Monday through Friday. We enroll children newborn through age 13. Kangaroo Kourt Preschool's motto is Where Learning is Fun! The staff, children, and parents work closely to create a loving and learning environment for all of the children.
Before an applicant can become part of the teaching staff, they must consent to the following background checks required by The Department of Children and Families, Office of Licensing:
- Child Abuse Record Information (CARI) This background check will reveal any incident of child abuse and/or neglect which have been substantiated against any person.
- Criminal History Record Information (CHRI) A prospective employee is subjected to a fingerprint check. This procedure is conducted at the State and Federal levels. This background check will reveal all convictions.
Kangaroo Kourt Preschool is owned and operated by Karen Wilson . She holds her Bachelor of Arts degree from William Paterson University and is a graduate of Toms River North. She is certified by the State of New Jersey to teach Preschool through 8th grade. Karen resides locally with her husband, three children, and her beautiful granddaughter. The Wilsons are also licensed foster parents.
Mrs. Wilson enjoys working in the community as a volunteer.
Mrs. Wilson is part of the Ocean County Department of Human Services, Child Care Advisory Council. She sits on the Council at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, and serves on the Music and Worship Committee. Mrs. Wilson enjoys working with other child care directors in the area, and this camaraderie helped pave the way for the directors to form the Southern Ocean County Child Care Directors Group. She also enjoys working with the reunion committee for Toms River North's class of 1981. |
